School is in full swing, actually I guess the first quarter is coming to a close next week. Time flies. Holden is doing great in first grade and Jackson is enjoying his last year of preschool. This year I am "guest teaching" at Holden's school. That's what they call substituting there. It's great because, well, another paycheck is helpful, and I am also hoping to get a full time position there next year. I originally got my degree in education because I wanted to be able to have a job, but also remain an involved mom. So, reentering the workforce where my boys will both be attending school seems like a win-win. I really hope it works out. So far this year I've been mostly working with kindergartners. That is one tough job. I used to teach 4th and 5th graders, which is TOTALLY different. I am absolutely exhausted at the end of the day. The plus side to teaching K is that it takes 3 seconds instead of a half hour to grade a writing paper. That's nice. Hopefully, I'll get some assignments in the intermediate grades soon. I've walked through their classrooms and it's like revisiting an old friend. I'm kinda anxious to get back. Wish me luck!
